Lavender Blue Floral was asked to participate in Vintage Market Days

Lavender Blue Floral was asked to participate in Vintage Market Days, a traveling vintage fair based out of Arkansas. The event took place at Jordan Creek Mall, in West Des Moines and was planned for April 13-15, 2018. Lavender Blue was asked to design and produce the photo wall at the entrance to the show. We used a cute little baby buggy and filled with tulips and pansies, and then filled in planters with mums and twigs collected in Minnesota. The first day of the show was chilly but sunny and many visitors came down to the lake to check out what all the vendors were selling. Lavender Blue set up a tent at the entry, with the help of borrowed vintage items from 'Rusty Pumpkin', from Ankeny, Iowa.

Storms interrupted the Second Day

The second day was cancelled, due to severe storms and the all -day threat of tornadoes!! Lavender Blue packed up their wares in a borrowed trailer, thanks to 'True Style', who had set up their pop-up shop that day at the lake.

The third day did not happen at All

The third day did not happen at all. Everyone was very sad and disappointed, but the graceful , giving Shea Thomas, was our fearless leader and made sure everyone and their items were taken care of. Shea is a true gem, and we were so glad to get to know her.

Lavender Blue created permanent botanicals in vintage-style containers and artfully displayed them, with the help of Kara Steele, a talented local designer.
