Another Lavender Blue Bride! Jordan started making plans to marry her fiance, Jeremy, months before the event, and reached out to local vendors. They decided upon Country Lane Lodge, set amongst the trees in Adel Iowa. Jordan knew right away what her preferred color palette and style were going to be. She talked to Lavender Blue Floral about her ideas, and they exchanged ideas and images from Pinterest. Once LB had a good idea of the color, style, and feel Jordan was going for, a mood board was created for her and some price ranges were shared so that she could make the best choice to fit her style and budget.

Jordan’s dress had so much movement and life to it! Whether standing still for a professional photo by @brookepavelphotography, or twirling with her prince, the light hit so many wondrous parts of this masterpiece in fabric.

Jordan and Jeremy pose for another photo opportunity, Jeremy wears dark grey pants with a white dress shirt and light burgundy tie. The blush and apricot colors of Jordan’s flower bouquet were the perfect pairing for the darker tones of the groomsmen attire. The ribbons hanging from the bouquet, from @lionribbon, swing and move gracefully in the mild prairie wind of this special day. Jordan likes greenery and asked for lots of eucalyptus. Her bouquet actually holds 3 different types of this aromatic, multi-toned greenery.

The couple had thought of every special detail they wanted for the wedding and the reception. Lavender Blue supplied a long drapery to frame their vows, and two floral accents were attached at the corners. Eucalyptus greenery rests in the middle of the draping, and a rustic whiskey barrel from the event center holds one of many mason jars of fresh flowers that were made for the wedding.

Jordan debated about what to place in her hair, and decided upon a simple floral comb to attach to the back of her partial updo hairstyle. The comb was made with small roses, mums, and a few sprigs of greenery.

The wedding reception, just steps away from the ceremony, at Country Lane Lodge, was decorated by her friends and included beautiful vintage dinner plates on the King’s table. Each setting was different and had a napkin tied with twine and a sprig of wheat of lavender. The large greenery garland is a frequent request of Lavender Blue and I love displaying its glory! The wedding and reception events, I believe should always tantalize the five senses. The heavy texture is easy on the eyes, the fresh smell of greenery is crisp and surprising, and the feel of the rough and smooth textures of all the greenery varieties if just pure indulgence! When I see brides have rented plastic greenery for their tables, I have to be honest... I cringe. Even small, inexpensive sprigs of fresh greenery and herbs are worlds-above in return when it comes to enjoyment and nice photos!

Here is what Jordan had to say about working with Lavender Blue:

Summer Country Wedding

Lynda and her team did such an incredible job for my wedding in August. She worked well with me, my mother and wedding coordinator. She did a beautiful job creating many pieces.... the garland that ran across our head table, center pieces that doubled as aisle decorations and even set up the fabric that draped over the arch that we married under. Lynda was great to work with and is such a sweet lady. If you are looking for a florist in central Iowa, Lavender Blue is a great place consider!
