At Lavender Blue, I offer my skills as a florist and wedding stylist to Iowa brides. While florals were my first love, I’ve learned that I also find creative directing to be so rewarding. Using a few Pinterest photos as a jumping-off point, I love styling an event from the ground up to perfectly fit a bride’s vision!
So, when Hannah came to us with hopes for an intimate boho wedding at St. Kilda Collective, we were in design heaven. What’s more, Hannah was an ideal client from day one, placing her full trust in us to pull off her vision. To a lot of brides that may sound scary! But we feel confident knowing that brides like Hannah put their faith in us for a reason. We pride ourselves on client satisfaction, and we feel blessed knowing that our clients chose us out of all available options. So, why should you choose Lavender Blue as your florist and wedding stylist? We’re glad you asked!

Our Time is Yours
It’s important to us that each of our clients feels prioritized and valued—as if they were our only client! That means prompt communication, personalized guidance, and keeping you in the loop of all design decisions. When our clients need us, we want them to feel empowered to reach out, knowing that we’ll be available for them. No games of phone tag or unanswered emails here!
Hannah says, “I really did feel like Lavender Blue’s only client. It felt like my day was their top priority, even when they were busy with others." We believe that all brides deserve an experience like Hannah’s. So when you work with us, you will never have to doubt our commitment to your special day!

We Can Plan Each Detail For You
Early on, Hannah shared with us that planning was not her thing. At the same time, she and her fiancé Schuyler wanted certain personalized details to be a part of their day. We hear this from brides all the time! They have a vision but they don’t have the time, inclination, resources, etc. to make it happen. And we get it—life doesn’t stop just because you’re planning your wedding. That’s why we’re happy to take on the bulk of your wedding styling—with your consultation, of course—leaving you with the freedom to pull together a few personalized touches. For example, Hannah spent some time browsing Etsy and found the most unique guest favors in the form of miniature clay hearts.
Our connections in the industry also make planning a breeze. The folks at St. Kilda worked with us in the past, and were actually the ones to recommend us to Hannah! We were stoked to have the opportunity to design the first micro wedding in their brand new space.

We’ll Execute Your Vision
Ever been on the phone with a vendor and felt like they were ignoring your ideas? We know that our brides each have a vision for their day, and it’s not our job to try and change it. We’ll happily share suggestions when they’re asked for, and you’ll always have the benefit of our industry expertise. But you can trust that when you hire us as your florist and wedding stylist, we’ll execute your unique vision from top to bottom.
Hannah came to us with a few Pinterest images and plenty of ideas. She loved the modern boho style, so we ran with it! We worked closely with her over a period of several months to decide on a color palette and design. In the end, her florals and styling were a boho dream, with plenty of fresh blooms, including oversized peach roses, mixed in with dried elements of pampas grass and sea holly.

Thoughtful and Thorough Event Design
We know that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and we treat it as such. When walking into your venue, we want you, your partner, and your guests to be blown away! That’s why we provide florals, styling, and rental services to our brides. Creative directing is our passion, and there’s nothing better than the look on a bride’s face when she realizes that all of her wedding dreams have come true.
For Hannah’s wedding at St. Kilda, we provided all of the design elements for the ceremony and reception, with the exception of the couple’s round ceremony arch. With linen rentals, props, and plenty of florals, we created a boho oasis. What’s more, we sourced our dried florals from a local Iowan flower farm. We love supporting local businesses (like so many of our brides), and having the chance to tell our brides the story of their bouquet!
