Amara and Clint’s wedding at Raspberry Hill Bed and Breakfast was full of boho and vintage-inspired details! Providing rentals and florals for this wedding was especially exciting for me. Amara and I attend the same church in Des Moines, so I've known her for a little while. She has such an inspiring commitment to the community here, and it was wonderful to witness her marrying the love of her life.

For months leading up to the special day, Amara and her family spent their free time hunting down antique treasures. Between their collection and Lavender Blue's catalog of rentals, we transformed the pavilion at Raspberry Hill into a vintage dream.

Outdoor Ceremony on the Lawn at Raspberry Hill Bed and Breakfast

The old Tudor home that houses Raspberry Hill Bed and Breakfast was recently converted into a wedding venue. It proved to be the perfect location for Amara and Clint to say their vows! Their ceremony took place on the house’s grassy lawn, which accommodated their small guest list perfectly. In addition, it was important to the bride and groom to incorporate their faith into their wedding day. By standing in front of an 'old rugged cross,' they signified their commitment to their faith and to each other. I loved styling this special piece with an arrangement of freshly sourced florals, field grass, and autumn leaves.

Live musicians played as Amara walked down the aisle through a unique installation of double doors. An assortment of antique furniture provided seating, and a collection of boho rugs lined the aisle for a peek into the eclectic reception decor. What’s more, a group of singers who are friends of Amara’s treated everyone to a performance. I had the opportunity to hear them practicing prior to the ceremony, and the beauty of their voices gave me goosebumps!

Intimate Reception with Handmade and Antique Details

Amara and Clint’s reception inside the venue’s open pavilion featured an exceptional amount of personalized and handmade details. Vintage dinnerware paired with peach muslin and evergreen linens on a long table that sat all of the couple’s guests! The comfort of their loved ones was also important to the bride and groom, who provided blankets and a hot beverage station as measures against the autumn chill. The atmosphere was intimate and warm, with florals in shades of burgundy and peach to match.

In addition, the couple’s signage was one of the most unique aspects of the day that accompanied the ‘vintage’ theme. The bride's family scouted a collection of antique mirrors, which they hand-lettered to satisfy all of the couple’s communication needs! From the welcome sign that greeted guests as they arrived to the bar menu featuring an assortment of the couple’s favorite drinks, they contributed so much charm to the day.

It was an honor to have a hand in bringing Amara and Clint’s wedding day dreams to life at Raspberry Hill Bed and Breakfast. The small size of their day, coupled with their attention to detail, made them my ideal clients!
