Brenna and Will’s late fall wedding was cozy as can be inside Irishman Acres Clover Barn! Although the pandemic forced them to postpone their ‘I dos’ and nix the outdoor ceremony of their dreams, they made the best of it. We assured Brenna that we could use all of the same floral elements, and the outcome was so unique! These two are one of the sweetest couples we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and we feel so honored to have had a hand in their special day.

Ceremony at Irishman Acres Clover Barn
Brenna’s vision for the day centered around a classic palette of blush, white, and green. Her bridesmaids wore blush floor-length gowns, and we composed bouquets of cream and blush roses and anemones for them to carry. A pin belonging to Brenna’s late father secured the blush satin ribbon of her bouquet so that he would be right by her side as she walked down the aisle.

Meanwhile, Will and his groomsmen wore dark blue suits with pink floral bowties and pocket squares. The blue was the perfect complement to the blush gowns and the touch of white from the flowers! The group looked stunning as they posed outside the barn, then headed inside to line up for the ceremony.
It was important to us to recreate Brenna’s original vision for an outdoor ceremony as much as possible. The indoor setting forced us to get creative, and we loved how everything turned out. Best of all, the couple did as well! We used the floral pieces meant for their ceremony arch to accent the corners of the old barn doors that formed the backdrop for their vows. The greenery breathed so much life into the space, and the cream and pink roses matching the girls’ bouquets added the right amount of romance. In addition, mason jars filled with flowers that were intended for the ceremony aisle were repurposed on the railing of the venue’s gorgeous iron staircase. It was so unique and pretty—proof that sometimes our best ideas result from changing plans!

Shabby-Chic Reception Design
At the entrance to the couple’s reception, Brenna arranged the most beautiful memorial table to honor her father's life. Framed photos, a large lantern brimming with florals, and bits of trailing greenery covered the top of a vintage dresser. We also loved the couple’s dessert table, which featured lace linens and a calligraphy sign with a verse from Song of Solomon. Their three-tiered cake from Little Blackbird Bakery was the centerpiece, which we wrapped in greenery and topped with roses.

However, the highlight of the evening was the sweetheart table, which we positioned in front of the ceremony barn doors to take full advantage of the floral pieces from earlier! Ivory armchairs, boughs of greenery, and an antique-inspired “Mr. and Mrs.” sign completed the design.
Watching Brenna and Will’s love story unfold has been wonderful, from their wedding at Irishman Acres Clover Barn to welcoming a sweet baby boy just one year later!
