Kacie and Blake’s wedding was so beautiful and unique. Their intimate ceremony took place in a family member’s backyard overlooking Lake Panorama, the largest private lake in Iowa! Kacie and her family were all very involved in planning the day but needed flowers to top everything off for their ceremony. They inquired about our floral design services, and we had so much fun bringing Kacie’s vision to life! We are experts at helpig brides define their style and color palette that speaks to the story of their wedding.

Choosing Colors for a Contemporary Wedding with Boho Touches

Kacie envisioned a color palette of “spice with a touch of white.” Her David’s Bridal gown was the perfect shade of purest white, complete with hints of delicate lace. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids complemented her in terra cotta color floor-length gowns from Pure Bridal. We loved the way this palette married contemporary boho style with classic bridal flair!

Floral Hair Accents Design

Of course, the color palette carried into the floral design as well! We filled Kacie’s bouquet with a combination of ivory, cream, and terra cotta colored roses that we set off with sprigs of greenery. Her bridesmaids also carried bouquets of cream and terra cotta coloed roses that trailed with pale blush ribbons and draping silver dollar eucalyptus. In addition, Kacie wanted to treat each of her bridesmaids to a custom floral hair accent. Just as each special friend carried their own style and vibe, she wanted to customize each floral comb to mimic the variations in each girl's personality. We excitedly put our design skills to the test and created each one with fresh spray roses and accents of fresh and dried flora from a local Iowa flower farm! Ivory, peach, and scarlet blossoms of celosia, sedum, and dried hydrangeas formed a unique piece for each bridesmaid.
