Hi everyone! I'm the creative mind behind Lavender Blue, and I wanted to take a moment to share my story and why I do what I do.

Ever since I can remember, I've been enchanted by the beauty of flowers and nature. Having lived my whole life in the Midwest, I've had the pleasure of witnessing the changing seasons and the unique beauty each one brings.

This love for nature inspired me to become a professional florist, and for the past eight years, I've been dedicated to creating lush and unique floral designs for weddings and events.

A New Transition

But my passion doesn't stop there. I believe that the joy and beauty of flowers shouldn't be limited to special occasions.

That's why I transitioned to focusing on high-quality, one-of-a-kind silk and dried floral designs for home and office decor.

I love bringing the beauty of nature indoors with long-lasting, unique pieces that reflect the season and add a touch of farmhouse chic style to any space.

My Mission

A big part of why I do what I do is rooted in a deeply personal journey.

Eight years ago, I suffered a sudden and horrific loss—my son Richard passed away from a Fentanyl overdose. Shortly after, my father died, and I was facing a milestone birthday.

It was a time of immense grief and sorrow. I made the decision to retire from my nursing profession and pursue my dream of floral design full time.

I wanted to honor the lives of my son and father by striving to live my best life while I was blessed to still have it.

This creative journey has been a necessary distraction from the extreme grief of losing a child and a way to channel my love and memories into something beautiful.

I pour my heart into each creation to make sure it exceeds expectations!
